This is one of the smallest town during Cycle Zydeco, but has one of the largest attractions, Fred's.

Is the "Cajun Music Capital of the World" and home to Fred's Lounge in Mamou is a highlight of the day and many riders head out at first light to get there early.   Fred’s is only open 8:00am—2:00pm with live music starts at 9:00am.  Fred's is a true Mecca for Cajun music enthusiast and those looking for a good time.  Hit the dance floor, order a Fred’s Omelet (a bloody mary) then dance some more.
