"Ride all day, play all night" This phrase perfectly sums up Cycle Zydeco and was the inspiration for the 2018 jersey artwork. Painted by Bryan Theriot of Gallery Acadie (Scott, Louisiana) the artwork is a two-piece painting depicting a day in the life of Cycle Zydeco. On the front, riders pass under live oak trees and along the Bayou Teche, soaking in the sunshine and scenery of Cajun Country. On the back side, you see the riders have left their bicycles to dance and party to Zydeco music with the full moon and cypress trees joining in. Guiding them in their journey is a badger a yellow jersey representing cyclist Bernard Hinault who participate as "le Capitaine de Cycle Zydeco" in this year's ride. Also on the jersey are three flags: the flag of Acadiana, the flag of Créoles, and the black and white flag of Brittany, France – the home region of Bernard Hinault.
